How we collect, use & protect your data
1. Who we are
RecruitAI is a software service operated in the United States. We provide AI-powered candidate screening tools to recruiting teams and staffing agencies.
2. What data we collect
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and company name. We store a hashed (encrypted) version of your password — never in plain text. Payment is processed by Stripe; we do not store credit card details. Resume content is sent to Anthropic's Claude AI to generate candidate analysis and is not permanently stored after your session ends.
3. How we use your data
We use your name and email to manage your account and process your subscription. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.
4. Third-party services
RecruitAI uses: Anthropic (Claude AI) to process screening requests, Stripe for payment processing, and Cloudflare to host the application and store account data.
5. Candidate data responsibilities
When you screen candidates, you are responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to process their personal data and must inform candidates their resume may be processed by AI tools.
6. Data retention & deletion
Your account data is retained while your account is active. To delete your account, contact us and we'll process within 30 days. Screening history is stored in your browser and can be cleared from the Dashboard at any time.
7. Security
Passwords are hashed using PBKDF2 with a unique salt. Sessions use secure, HTTP-only cookies. All data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored in Cloudflare's infrastructure.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Contact us to exercise these rights and we will respond within 30 days.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy periodically. Significant changes will be communicated by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

1. Acceptance of Terms
By using RecruitAI, you agree to be bound by these Terms. These terms apply to all users including free trial users, paid subscribers, and team members.
2. Description of Service
RecruitAI provides AI-powered candidate screening tools using Anthropic's Claude AI. The Service is a tool to assist human decision-making and does not make final hiring decisions.
3. Accounts & Subscriptions
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of your billing period.
4. Free Trial
New accounts receive a 14-day free trial. No credit card is required. At the end of the trial, paid features are restricted unless you subscribe to a plan.
5. Acceptable Use
You may not use the Service to discriminate against candidates based on any protected characteristic. You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with all applicable employment, privacy, and data protection laws.
6. Candidate Data
You represent that you have the legal right to submit any candidate data. All final hiring decisions remain your sole responsibility. AI-generated scores must not be the sole basis for rejection without human review.
7. Intellectual Property
The RecruitAI name, logo, and software are owned by the operator. You retain ownership of any content you submit. You grant RecruitAI a limited license to process that content to provide the Service.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties. We do not guarantee AI-generated scores are accurate, complete, or free from bias. We are not responsible for hiring decisions made based on Service outputs.
9. Limitation of Liability
RecruitAI shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential damages. Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid in the three months preceding the claim.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States. Disputes shall be resolved in courts located in Florida.
11. Changes to These Terms
